Within the equine division we are always seeking ambitious graduate veterinarians to join our New Graduate Programme. We are investing in our future and in yours by delivering an industry-leading programme.
To be eligible for the New Graduate Programme you need to have graduated within the last three years or be relatively new to equine practice. The programme is either hospital-based (as an intern), or practice based as an ambulatory vet.
The New Graduate Programme is 12-24 months long and includes 10 days of CPD per year (70% clinical and 30% non-clinical). The clinical CPD primarily comprises attendance of the BEVA ‘Fundamentals of Equine Practice’ which is a series of 10 sessions specifically designed to equip equine vets with the necessary essential skills for clinical practice. The BEVA courses are ‘hands-on’ delivered by experts to ensure the skill set can be applied in the clinic setting. We have a dedicated Equine New Graduate Mentor, as well as individual practice mentors thereby ensuring multiple channels of both clinical and pastoral support. We have a cutting edge digital learning platform for the Equine New Graduate Programme where regular live and recorded webinars can be accessed, as well as a discussion forum lead by our Equine New Graduate Mentor.
Your career aspirations will be regularly discussed and reviewed, and we aim to offer a career path within CVS Equine that extends beyond the New Graduate Programme. We have practices across England and Wales and we also have clinics in the Republic of Ireland and the Netherlands.
